According to WrestlingInc.com via Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the front-runner for the Undertaker’s opponent for WrestleMania is WWE Champion CM Punk. This scenario would be a huge mistake for Punk, Undertaker and WWE as they try to build the biggest WrestleMania in the history of the company.

CM Punk should not be the superstar to end the Undertaker’s streak. In fact, no one should end the Undertaker’s streak. It is a big part of the Undertaker’s legacy and a streak that he should retire with still in tact.

However, if a superstar is going to end the Undertaker’s streak, it should be Kane, not CM Punk. Punk may be the longest reigning WWE Champion of the modern era and the top heel in WWE right now, but Kane has the best storyline with the Undertaker. As his brother, former tag team partner and enemy, the history of these two speaks for itself.

This is only in the situation where WWE insists that someone has to end the streak.
